Launched in October 1992 this Clubsport was Porsche's lightweight, sports focus variant of the 968 for enthusiasts seeking improve track and road performance. Upgrades over the standard car included, weight reduction by using less sound deadening, manual windows, lighter seats, manual boot release, thinner non-airbag steering wheel, rear wiper delete, no rear seats, engine covers removed, less electronics meant a lighter wiring loom and smaller battery reducing the CS kerbweight by 100KG over the standard 968 along with performance upgrades including wider 17inch wheels, revised 20mm lower suspension taking the 0-60 time down by over half a second on the standard car.
1,538 cars were produced of which only 36 still show as remaining on UK roads in 2024.
This example was first registered August 1994, finished in Guards red. Owned by the current keeper for 10 years. Showing 159,000 miles and with MOT till August next year. Sold with a large history file including large collection of service records (21 Services), receipts for servicing and maintenance, as well as 3 sets of keys and copies of Porsche world where the car was featured in 2007 along with photos from the magazine shoot.
