Purchased new directly through Mercedes-Benz Germany and handed over at Mercedes' Sindelfingen plant on the 1st of October 1985 with German Registration to its first owner Team Lotus Racing before being UK registered 3 months later in January 1986.

Purchased along with another similar car, both with huge specification including full leather interior, heated front seats, electric sunroof and air conditioning. Finished in Blue-Black metallic with black interior.

Owned by Team Lotus F1 for 3 years. Believed to have been used by Management such as team boss Peter Warr and drivers including Ayrton Senna before being sold to its first private owner for the sum of £17,500 in March 1989 (sold with receipt of sale from team lotus).

Presented in fantastic condition having recently had a light refresh including new sills and paintwork refresh. Sold with 2 large box files of history starting from its original Team Lotus ownership following through all keepers to the present day. Detailing servicing, maintenance and records of sales and other related documents. Also sold with original service book including factory PDI stamp and 20 further service stamps.
