Launched in 1967 and available on both the 1300 and 1500cc models the Automatic Stickshift featured a conventional looking gear selector in a H pattern like the manual variant however lacked a clutch pedal. Featuring 3 gears selected manually without needing a clutch, using a torque converter like a conventional automatic vehicle. Other changes included more stable double jointed independent rear suspension. Produced until 1975 and accounting less than 10% of total beetle sales making the Automatic Stickshift a rare and collectable Beetle today.

This example was supplied new in the UK and first registered November 1967, Owned by the current keeper for 12 years, part of a small VW collection, Showing 3,000 miles although we believe due to history paperwork and VW's 5 digit speedo the correct mileage to be 103,000.

Sold with service book with 11 service stamps up to 1983 as well as receipts for more recent maintenance during the current keepers ownership.
