Launched in 1989 the S2 version of the 944 replaced the 2.5 and 2.7 litre engines with a revised 16 valve, dual overhead cam, 3 litre version of the S engine. Other changes include a updated gearbox with new gearing to suit the additional power as well updated interior and exterior styling.

This example in rarely seen black paintwork with matching black leather interior was first registered January 1991 and shows 126,000 miles and MOT till July next year. Fitted with upgrades including rare Cup 1 alloy wheels, clubsport steering wheel and sought after bridge rear spoiler.

Sold with a large history file including service book with 20 service stamps, the most recent at 126,000 miles as well as a well organised folder containing records of other servicing and maintenance including cam belts and water pump replacement in 2023, new inner sills in July 2025, new battery and other records dating all the way back to 2021.
