1968 Jaguar E Type

Registration: KCK994F

Milage Showing: 00095

MOT: 09/04/2024

  • Sought after series 1.5 model
  • Recent full restoration to a very high standard
  • Large history file
Available in early 1968 the series 1.5 bridged the gap between the original series 1 cars and the later series 2 cars launched in October 1968. The 1.5 features series 2 revised styling additions to what is fundamentally a series 1 car including open headlights to comply with US regulations, wrap around rear bumper and relocated indicators along with interior changes including all new switch gear.
This example was built in May 1968, supplied by Henlys Jaguar of London for personal export to Florida where it spent the majority of its life with 1 family owner until it was brought back to the UK by its current owner in 2020 having covered just 30,000 miles. It was then the subject of a full nut and bolt restoration including full bare metal respray, engine rebuild with unleaded cylinder head, gearbox and differential rebuild.
The vendor adds he was carefuly during this 3 year restoration to retain as much of the cars original parts as possible, for example the steering wheel is the original one fitted to the car that has been restored to original spec. He also retained all original chrome work, wheels, switch gear and many other parts.
Finished to a spectacalar standard in its original Opalescent Silver Blue exterior with dark blue leather interior and soft top. Confirmed with a Jaguar heritage certificate. Showing 1 UK keeper and now fully UK registered. Sold with a large history file containing US documents, import history, heritage certificate and massive pile of receipts detailing the restoration.
Easily one of the best E-types on the market today.
