Launched in 1966 the Interceptor replaced the CV8 and was a departure from Jensen's usual glass fibre bodied cars. Using a steel body designed by Carrozzeria Touring (responsible for some of the most beautiful cars by Alfa Romeo, Ferrari & Aston Martin at the time) as well as a V8 engine by Chrysler, originally in 6.2 litre form but later increased to 7.2 litres towards the end of the Interceptor production.

This example was first registered in July 1971 and given to Jensen Director Tony Good as his personal car until being sold to the General Public in December 1971. Bought by the current keeper in August 2021, he advises he has spent over £15,000 on refurbishing it. This includes the interior and boot space, new Air conditioning, upgraded cooling fans, Moto Lita steering wheel, new spare wheel carrier, replacement tailgate struts and many other smaller jobs and parts as well as paint refresh.

He also advises the car has been driven over 8000 miles in the last 4 years including Jensen Owners Club trips to France, the Netherlands and all over the UK. Now showing 2,000 miles but believed to be 102,000 due to a 5 digit speedo and although now tax and MOT exempt still carrying a current test until October 2026.

Sold with a copy of original factory data sheets and invoices, rare MK2 handbook and workshop manual and many invoices for work carried out during the current keepers ownership.
