Believed to have been deployed to France from new in 1944 this sought after Willys MB model was sold into private hands after the war where it remained in a british ex-pats collection in France before being brought to the UK by the same owners where it was registered with the DVLA in June 1970. Showing 1 previous keeper until it was bought by the current keeper in March 2023.
The current keeper, a well known hobby restorer and collector of Willys & Hotchkiss Jeeps carried out the restoration including stripping down to the bare chassis, sandblasting, repairing and repainting before restoring the body and refitting along with an engine overhaul with the only major body replacement being the windscreen frame. Also fitted with a new clutch, new battery, new carburettor and lift pump as well as axles and brakes overhauled.
Sold with correct canvas roof and side screen/doors. Showing 5 miles although the vendor advises he fitted a rebuilt speedo during his ownership.
