Launched in May 1997 to replace the popular 850R the V70 R carried over some features from the 850R including the half leather half alcantara interior with diamond check stitching and blue dials to the clocks. Also like the 850R the new model featured upgraded wheels, newly designed sports suspension, bodykit, higher standard extras such as air conditioning and most importantly a 2.3 litre 5 cylinder, 20 valve, turbo charged engine.

While the automatic models were restricted to 237BHP the manual models featured a larger turbo charger taking power up to 247BHP. Available as both front and four wheel drive layouts.

This example ticks all the boxes when it come to options, Manual gearbox, four wheel drive, 7 seats and stunning Saffron bodywork. First registered in September 1997 by Evans Halshaw Volvo in Stockport. Beautifully presented inside and out, showing 76,000 miles and 6 former keepers. The vendor advises the car has been fitted with adjustable coilovers but a standard set up is also included with the car which he advises was nearly new when he removed them (pictured).
