Sold in the 1940s and 1950s by British Salmson as an attachment to turn any push bike into a motor assisted bike the Cyclaid uses a 31cc two stroke engine with Amal carburettor and Wipac flywheel magneto ignition.

Fitted to a Hercules Cycle company frame, road registered in 1982 and sold with folder of previous MOT certificates as well as copy of the Cyclaid user manual and copy of original advertising showing it for sale at £24 with finance options available and boasting a 250 mile per galon.
