Like most long running 4x4 models the Land Cruiser started life as a military vehicle. Produced by Toyota for the US government during the Korean war in 1950. Based on the Willys Jeep although larger and with a more powerful 3.4 litre engine. After the war Toyota started producing its first model for the general public the J20 which was produced from 1955 through to 1960 when the J40 was introduced and wore the name Land Cruiser.

This FJ40 example was supplied new in what we believe was Japan before being imported to the UK in 2019. Fully UK registered with V5. (Dating letter and registration documents also included) This 4.2 litre straight six petrol model with manual gearbox shows 97,000KM which equates to 60,000 miles.
